Child-sponsoring Macheo
Currently 28 children are being sponsored, the maximum number of children we can take in is 56. For 28 future children we are still looking for personal sponsors. What does personal sponsorship involve? Please read the attached pdf–file.
Child-sponsoring Jamii Program
The children in the Jamii program also have personal sponsors. At this moment all of the children in this program have personal sponsors. If you are interested, please contact us.
Project-sponsoring
A project can be a building, a tool or anything else. For an overview of projects please read the attached pdf–file.
Outreach sponsoring
Macheo will always try to also help children outside of Macheo. We try to help children to go to school by providing school uniforms, shoes, schoolbags etc. There are food programs too.
General sponsoring
If you want to make a donation that an be used as we see fit for the orphanage, that’s very welcome. This money can be used for: hospital visits, staff wages, car maintenance and fuel, electricity, etc. We are trying to meet many of these costs from our ‘income generating projects’ and from child sponsoring.
Sponsoring goods
This comprises clothing and other things. Clothing and shoes are examples of goods we need. Customs can be a problem if goods are new. Shipping has proven to be too much hassle, hand carrying goods is the best option.
