Income generating projects
Using income generating projects, Macheo is attempting to be less dependant on outside help. This is a big challenge and very demanding on time and initial investments. Using these projects we hope to be able to cover everyday costs as much as possible. These costs are things like: wages, office costs, water, electricity, fuel, repairs, etc.
Projects already in operation and generating income for the orphanage are: ‘Macheo Farm’ and ‘Macheo Safaris’.
From 2007 we also have plans for: rabbits (for meat), goats (for milk), chickens (eggs), Tilapia (fish), the dog-breeding program for german shepherds (popular with security companies and the police) and letting homes.
