During the establishment of Macheo, we were helped enormously by the warm contributions of sponsors and donors. Their donations also meant that we were able to purchase a large plot of land, as well as build a well-equipped children’s home and build on the rest of the site. However, even from the start, we wanted to be less dependent on help from external sources. That is the only way that the children’s home will be assured a stable flow of income in the future.
